Talking about #mylifeatcu wouldn't be complete without talking about my sister, Allison ('15). Not only did she show me how amazing Chapman is while I was still in high school, but supported me through my first two years as a student here. She graduated in May of 2015 and is now pursuing her Master's degree (making Chapman proud since she's at the top program in the nation! #proudsister) but I'm so thankful that I got to spend two years at #chapmanu with my best friend!

One thing I love about Chapman is they prepare you for the future! This interterm I took a course in NYC with some buddies in my major, newsies like myself, where we were able to tour some of the major studios & networks in the country! After visiting NBC, CNN, ESPN, my DREAM SHOW (Good Morning America) & many more I am so inspired to head triumphantly into this industry after school. Seeing so many Chapman Alumni working successfully in most of these companies was so encouraging! Thank you Chapman for making these hands on, one in a million experiences available to your students. I feel so prepared for my career!🗽📽🍎🏙 • #DoStuff #Newsie #MyLifeAtCU #ChapmanU #ProudPanther #NYC #WelcomeToNewYork #GMA #ESPN #FutureReporter #Anchor #ChapmanNews @nicoleerenard @petepick6 @chapmannews @chapmanualumni @yurisch

The week I came back from New Zealand I competed for Miss City of Orange & can you guess what happened?! Yup. This year as I serve as an official ambassador to the city I will be promoting my platform "A Life Without Limits: encouraging today's youth to set goals and dream big" & raising money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The Miss America Organization seeks to empower women & give them scholarships to further their education. The skills & experience I have gained from competing in this program have opened up many doors for me & helped contribute to my success. I am forever grateful to each & every volunteer & sponsor that gives generously to make this experience a reality for me. It truly has changed my life! The next step? Miss California! To follow more of this journey follow my official account @misscityoforangeofficial If you would like to help me in my efforts to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, you can donate at missamericaforkids.org/Donate/nicolerenard I hope to make Chapman proud this year as I represent the city & give all the glory to God. Happy Good Friday!👸🏼🍊🐾 #DoStuff #MissCityOfOrange #QueenOfTheOranges #MissCalifornia #MissAmerica #MyLifeAtCU #ChapmanU #ProudPanther #GloryToGod #Serve #ThereSheIs #GoodFriday #RoadToMissCA #Sponsors #BusyBee

Most people at Chapman don't know this about me, but I've been a dancer since I was 2! I grew up wanting to be on Broadway & heard about Chapman because my sister almost came here for dance. At the time I loved making funny videos for my YouTube channel, so I applied to Chapman's Summer Film Camp & got in! (Yeah I was shocked too) I spent 2 weeks at Dodge learning all about the world of TV & Film. Living in the dorms & "going to college" as a junior in high school was such an exciting experience & it sparked a little flame in my heart to pursue a career in Broadcast News. Now as a junior in college I look back at that film camp & am so grateful I had the opportunity to figure out my passion before I applied to school. The fact I get to go to Chapman where my dream began makes me really feel like the dream is coming true. My challenge to you is to have an open mind about your dreams & don't limit yourself to what you've always done since you were 2. You never know what amazing thing lies right around the corner (or application) that could be part of your amazing destiny. It could just be a dream away. ☺️✨ #DoStuff #DreamBig #Dancer #FilmKid #Newsie #ChapmanU #ProudPanther #SetGoals

This is my last post everyone, I wanted to share one thing with you to start the semester. Find something this semester that you can chase with passion for your entire life, separate what you have done for who you are, if you made a mistake, if you didn't do the right thing, move past it. I got lucky, I found out my "why" in life 3 years ago. I stopped waking up like life was an accident, I can wake up with purpose even though sometimes life can beat me down. If you were like me and you woke up and said this isn't what I talked about, this isn't what I dreamed about, you can still stand up to life. If you had a New Years resolution you didn't stick with, try again, it's a new month, you failed point the figure in the mirror and start again. If you had a relationship that didn't work out, acknowledge it and grow. You can't afford not to be you, to live life without passion, commit to something, drive with consistent action, it's your responsibility to make it happen. It's bigger than football, it's bigger than your classes it's YOUR LIFE, give it everything you have every moment of everyday, it's difficult and it's worth it. #mychapman #ChapmanUFamily #ProudtobeaPanther
