Dean's Take: It is remarkable to think about the science, engineering, and creativity that Margaret Hamilton brought to bear on challenges of such tremendous magnitude. She didn't just coin the term "software engineering", and she didn't just save the Apollo 11 landing, she helped define the entire future of the hardware/software interface, making the software a critical part of the equation, where hardware design had previously been the dominant force in computer systems engineering. #Apollo11 #WomenInScience #WomenInSTEM
